Being Different

I come from a small town in Bavaria. A place where everyone knew each other and where being different was very much rejected. When I moved to Hamburg with my boyfriend, so much changed. Far away from my old home, my old friends and old habits. Far away from my family. I found out that I have ADHD and possibly ASD as well. That I am bisexual and genderfluid. That I’ve had to mask myself my whole life because being unique wasn’t welcome in the small town. I have friends who accept and love me for who I am. I express myself artistically. Hamburg has made so many things possible and I’m simply grateful to be able to live in such a beautiful city.
