Belonging

Hamburg is home to the largest and oldest Afghan community in Europe, with 40,000 people. I came to Germany when I was 10 years old. I had to fight for my place in this society from the very beginning and yearned for a sense of belonging. Hamburg gave me everything, a home and a strong sense of community.
