To the fullest - on trains and subways

After 9 years of living here, Hamburg is still my great love. Still, I will leave her at the beginning of 2025 for my other great love, the one in human form. It all started when I was a child, when we visited  as a family – to see ‘The Lion King’. I’ve been to the show three times over the years. In January it will be the fourth – as a farewell. I moved here two weeks before my 20th birthday. Out of love. Love for the city. No other decision in my life has been as easy as this one. Without a doubt. Just went for it and enjoyed it. To the fullest – on trains and subways. I will miss you, my Hamburg. The Elbe and the wind, the ‘Moin’ as I already know it from home, my favourite Sundays: sleeping in, strolling around the flea market, going out for breakfast – or rather, brunch. What will I take with me from you? The certainty of having lived my dream, lasting friendships, colourful memories and, of course, my great love, the one in human form. And what do I give to you?
