Why are we doing this?

Many people in Hamburg’s urban society have not yet found themselves in the Museum of Hamburg History (MHG). We want to change this with the district project. With the help of participation formats – these can be digital formats, but also mobile anchors or meeting points in public places in the various districts – we want to encourage Hamburg residents to share their realities. We want to show a diverse picture of people and their lives in Hamburg, especially of people and places that are often not given enough attention or heard in museums.
